WELCOME TO MY WORLD

Good morning fellows! How do you do?

I've decided to ramble on here from time to time. Capture my thoughts on the world wide interwebs instead of being lost in my mind somewhere, after all what is in this world is here for ever isn't it? until armeggeddon at least or until this becomes redundant and telepathy takes over.
I'll be able to capture life on tour and the process of making My Passion's second album plus a whole lot of random things that interest me.

Today i'm putting the final touches to the new mypassion.co.uk, a couple of weeks work of DIY web design. With myspace not being as active as it once was I thought it was time to make more of the fabled official website and that many of you out there would enjoy losing some of your minutes and of course because in between song writing I have time to design, which i love.

I found a brilliant website that has explained some age old sayings to me that I use but had no idea where they came from... Some of them I hadn't even heard...

Jaywalker - Jay birds that ventured out of their rural forests and into urban areas often got confused. They often endangered their lives walking anywhere they wanted, often into the line of traffic. Sophisticated city folk often laughed at their erractic behaviour. So now anyone who crosses a street in a reckless or illegal way is known as a jay walker ( and sometimes fined)

To get out of the Wrong side of the bed - We live in a predominantly right handed world. In the ancient world the left was considered sinister, mysterious, dangerous or evil. Inn keepers pushed the left side of the bed against the wall so that guests had to get up on the right side. These days getting out of the wrong side is more associated with clumsy and irritable than evil or dangerous.

Pipe Dream - An idea that is unique or bizarre often called a "pipe dream" by those who think its pretty silly. The term originates from the use of opium and smoking it through a pipe. It relates to the ideas and hallucinations one might have when using the substance.

There's tons more of these if you want to read up head to http://www.brownielocks.com/wordorigins.html

Right enough of this poppycock haha
see you soon
